Big corporations: Friend, enemy or partner of the vegan movement?
Should we buy vegan products from big corporations and meat producers? Are cooperations with such big companies a relevant step for the veganisation
of our society or simply a betrayal of the movement? The main speaker Renato Pichler has been building up the V-label-project over the last 20 years and has established it internationally. In the course of this work, he has had contact with small startups as well as huge corporations. Moreover, he has supported and build up several vegan companies.
Renato will be supported in his talk by the food scientist Kurt Schmidinger, who has established the Future Food project, dealing with alternatives to animal products, existing ones and futuristic approaches. Renato will interview Kurt on the main question of this talk twice, and Kurt will play both roles, the opponent and the supporter of cooperations with huge food conglomerates.
