Artivism – the fused force of activism with the wild freedom of art

... This passion has all the ingredients of activism, but is charged with the wild creations of art. Artivism—where edges are pushed, imagination is freed, and a new language emerges altogether.
The famous Italian encyclopedia Treccani suggests that creativity is characterized by the ability to create with imagination and a particular sensitivity to problems. I believe this is the essence of artivism. Each of us, in this perspective, can become an artivist, because there is no person on this planet without imagination and sensitivity. Instead of seeking unattainable perfection, an impossible absence of contradictions, artistic excellence, and so on, to embrace artivism, we simply need to trust our intuitions and our creative capacity. Let's become cre-activists!
