Animal agriculture is the biggest destroyer of forests, responsible for destruction of biodiversity and among the biggest polluters and harmful gas emitters. Randal Plunkett comes from one of the oldest families in Ireland with a long history and large estate and a castle. His mission in life became V-Wilding, a new and exciting form of environmental restoration. In 2014 Plunkett did convert over a third of his estate into a rewilding project. His work is now the subject of a major documentary. On his land he allows nature to have a breath. He contributes to a natural restoration of nature processes by organic actions. Remarkably, within a span of a few years, without the use of fertilizers, deforestation, or animal harm, Randal witnessed a remarkable transformation. Species that had been absent for a century reappeared, and the symbiotic relationship between plants and animals fostered adaptation, ultimately leading to a remarkable revival of the natural world.

Randal Plunkett, Lord Dunsany or commonly referred to by the media as “The Death Metal Baron” is an award-winning Irish film director, producer and environmental vegan advocate. He is a holder of one of the oldest surviving peerage titles in Ireland and still remains in their family’s historic homestead Dunsany Castle, and its remaining estate.
