How farm sanctuaries change the world

I changed the world for a few living beings be rescuing them, these living beings changed the world for a few thousand human beings and if these human beings continue spreading the word nothing less than animal liberation could be the result.

In the first part of my talk I want to focus on the workings and possibilities of farm sanctuaries in connection with the animal rights movement. Farm sanctuaries can change the world for individual animal persons but they can also change the world for many human (animal) persons. By getting in touch with these so-called farmed animals who may recover and fully develop their personality, many visitors are making the connection between theory and reality. They no longer only have a rough idea of who these animals are that we talk about when we hand out flyers about exploited beings but they see with their own eyes, smell with their own noses, feel with their own hearts, understand with their own minds whose welfare is at stacke. This means that farm sanctuaries have a huge impact if they open their doors, teach ethics right on the farm and invest some time in public relations.

In the second part I will give a short introduction into how to open up a farm sanctuary and how to include ethical education in such a project. There will be room for questions if wanted.
