Dr. Katharina Weiss Germany
Dr. Katharina Weiss is Communications Manager at Animal Equality Germany in Berlin. She studied German Literature, History of Art and Religions at the universities of Leipzig, Rome and Munich, where she subsequently worked as a research assistant, focused on media science, cultural studies and the phenomenon of nonconformism and wrote a doctoral thesis. After being awarded her PhD she started working in journalism, changing her main topics to animal rights, veganism, health and environmental problems. She has been active in animal rights for several years and joined her first demonstrations against slaughterhouses when she was 14 – the time she decided for a more compassionate diet. Loving to advocate for animals she regularly writes for magazines like Vegan World in her spare time.
