Don Bosco Saal: Main hall, ground floor
The power of storytelling For thousands of years storytelling has been at the core of human communication. Since the early cave paintings, throughout fairy tales, novels, photos and film – storytelling has been used to inspire people to reflect and adopt new ideas. But what is it about storytelling that makes is so powerful and how do we integrate it better into the animal advocacy movement? In this presentation, film making will be in focus through a combination of theory and practice, through screenings of his recent short films. The presentation aims to inspire for a more creative approach to communicating ideas, investigations and campaigns, with a special focus on upcoming writers, photographers and filmmakers. The presentation has a particular focus on recent work related to hens and chickens – the vast majority of the animals killed for food.
