Detailed information
Neira Obralija Bosnia and Herzegovina
Born in 1986. in Sarajevo. Since I was a little girl, I was caring for stray dogs on the streets of my city, as we had them for as long as I can remeber.
In the past 10 or so years, I tried doing more for the dogs so i started bringing them to my house, finding them new, forever, homes and helping them in any ways i was able to. However, after adopting a dog six years ago, every stray dog that needed help was my dog in my eyes. I started posting the things i do on social networks, Facebook mostly, and i made contacts in other countries that help me rehome my dogs. I try and rescue as many as i can, but, of course, finances are limiting so i am forced to ask for help/donations. So far i have rehomed dogs to England, Germany, Austria, Sweden, Slovenia, Denmark etc. I have contacts with almost all the families that adopted my
dogs and i am following their life still.
I volunteer in shelters in my city, but my heart belongs to one in particular- Praca. I have been volunteering there since the very beginning of it's existance in 2012.
I do not know the exact number of dogs i rescued because i don't want to count them in my files or treat them as numbers. All it matters is that they are all happy ... And i think that this, what i do now, is going to follow me for the rest of my life, as i will never give up on them and their wellbeing.
